My approach

Independent advice, guided by your horse and explained clearly.

The horse decides.

“The horse decides” is the test I apply to every recommendation. A saddle may look right when a horse is standing still but restrict movement under a rider. That is why I assess each option when ridden, paying close attention to how your horse moves and responds.

Your horse’s response guides the choice, but the saddle must also work for you: your seat, your discipline and the way you want to develop together.

A saddle doesn’t fit because it looks good or sits at the right balance point. It fits when horse and rider can move without compensating. Only then can a strong, load-bearing back develop.

When a problem lies in the saddle, I look at how horse and rider move, step by step. Together with my expert team, I increasingly support horses in rehabilitation, where precision matters most.

Improving a horse’s quality of movement is usually a longer-term project, but a lasting one. That is why I stay with you beyond the saddle purchase.

From first conversation to ongoing care

  • 01

    Before we meet

Contact me by form, Instagram, email or phone. Before we meet, I will ask about your horse, how you ride, your goals and any concerns you have.

  • 02

    At your stable

I bring around five carefully chosen saddles to your stable. I assess your horse standing and in movement, then you try the suitable options under saddle.

  • 03

    Comparing the options

We compare the options together. I explain what I see in your horse’s movement, what you feel as a rider and how both inform my recommendation.

  • 04

    Delivery and adjustments

Once the right saddle is chosen, it is delivered. If needed, my master saddler or I will then visit to adjust it individually.

  • 05

    Ongoing care

My support continues after the purchase. You can book follow-up checks whenever needed, particularly if your horse is young or its musculature is changing.

What you will understand afterwards

  • Why this saddle suits your horse and others don't.
  • What to look out for yourself when something changes.
  • When a check or adjustment makes sense.

Specialist support when needed

For the craft side I work with my master saddler, Darja Deising. Where it helps, I involve my expert team: various trainers, a fascia therapist and a veterinarian.
