The connection

When horse and rider move in harmony, you feel the difference.

You feel it when your horse moves freely, you sit in balance and communication between you comes more naturally. Riding feels easier and more natural for both of you.

Your saddle sits between you. A good fit supports that connection; a poor one can get in the way. That is why the choice deserves care.

The difference

Advice guided by your horse, not a manufacturer.

I don’t begin with a particular make or model. I begin with you and your horse: how you move together and what you need. I explain what I find, compare the suitable options and recommend what I believe is best for you both.

My range includes several saddle brands, and adjustments are made by my master saddler or by me, so the advice never depends on one manufacturer's service.

My approach

The horse decides.

01

Listen

I listen to you and learn about your horse, how you ride, what you hope to achieve and anything that no longer feels right.

02

Assess together

I assess horse and rider together, standing and in movement. You then ride in the shortlisted saddles, because fit cannot be judged on a standing horse alone.

03

Explain and recommend

I explain what I see and why I favour a particular option, so you understand the recommendation and can decide with confidence.

Services

Expert guidance, from first choice to ongoing care.

Saddle consultation and fit

If your saddle no longer feels right, I assess horse, rider and saddle together, explain what I find and recommend the next steps.

Choosing a new saddle

I bring around five carefully selected saddles to your stable for you to try. Your horse’s comfort and movement help guide the choice.

Checks, adjustments and care

Horses change. Your saddle can be readjusted at any time. I recommend a check every six months.

Saddles & equipment

Function comes first. Then make it yours.

I select saddles for fit, function and riding discipline first. Then there is room for individuality in the leather, colour and details. I also offer bridles, girths and pads chosen to work with the whole set-up.
